Index Sheet (Cloud)

What it is: The table of contents page in the Annual Financial Statements that automatically generates page numbers for all active sheets.

What it's for

The Index Sheet gives readers a quick overview of the AFS structure and the page number for each section. Page numbers are generated dynamically — they only become accurate after running a preview, because the system needs to lay out the document before it can count pages. The Index also accounts for any external PDF reports that have been attached (such as a signed auditor's report), keeping page numbering correct throughout.

How to do it

Viewing and Updating the Index (DC077)

  1. Navigate to the Index sheet in the AFS. Before previewing, page numbers show as "Preview to Update".
  2. Select Preview to generate the document layout and populate the page numbers.
  3. Once previewed, the Index reflects the correct page number for every active sheet, including the Directors' Responsibilities and Approval report.
  4. Page numbers update automatically whenever sheets are activated, deactivated, or reordered via the Content Tab.
    • Tip: if you use an external auditor or compiler report, keep the corresponding template sheet active in the Content Tab so the page numbering remains sequential. You can then replace that sheet with the signed PDF (see Print Preview Settings).
